Test & Go Live
Test your agent
Before your agent talks to real customers, test it. A few minutes of testing catches most problems — awkward greetings, missing information, or tools that don’t fire.
Ways to test
1. Test conversation
Use the Test panel on the agent to have a live conversation with it, just like a caller would. Talk to it, try to trip it up, and see how it responds.
2. Test outbound call
Place a real outbound call to your own phone to hear exactly what a customer hears — voice, pacing, and phone-line quality.
3. Test inbound call
Assign a number and call it yourself to check the greeting and answering flow.
A testing checklist
Run through these scenarios before going live:
- Greeting — does the agent open warmly and identify your business?
- Core task — can it complete its main job (book, qualify, answer)?
- Knowledge — does it answer your top 5 FAQs correctly?
- Tools — do bookings, lookups, and transfers actually work end-to-end?
- Edge cases — what happens if the caller mumbles, changes topic, or asks something off-script?
- Escalation — does it transfer to a human or take a message when it should?
- Wrap-up — does it confirm details and end the call cleanly?
- Voice — does the voice sound right over a real phone line?
Improving from tests
After each test:
- Review the transcript to see exactly what was said.
- Adjust the instructions — one change at a time.
- Re-test. Every change is versioned, so you can always roll back.
