Voices & languages
Choose how your agent sounds and what language it speaks. You can preview and change the voice at any time.
Choosing a voice
Each agent has one voice. In the agent’s Voice settings you can:
- Browse the full voice catalog.
- Preview each voice with a sample clip before choosing.
- Filter by gender and style.
HeyMello offers a catalog of high-definition, natural-sounding voices. Each voice has a name and a gender, so you can pick one that matches your brand — for example a warm female voice for a wellness clinic, or a confident male voice for sales.
Voice availability may expand over time. The catalog you see in the dashboard is always the current source of truth.
Languages
Set each agent’s primary language in its settings. HeyMello supports 30+ languages and locales worldwide, with English as the default and region-appropriate accents.
| Language | Language | Language |
|---|---|---|
| Arabic | German | Polish |
| Bengali | Gujarati | Portuguese (Brazil) |
| Chinese (Mandarin) | Hindi | Russian |
| Dutch | Indonesian | Spanish (Spain) |
| English (Australia) | Italian | Spanish (US) |
| English (India) | Japanese | Tamil |
| English (UK) | Kannada | Telugu |
| English (US) | Korean | Thai |
| French (Canada) | Malayalam | Turkish |
| French (France) | Marathi | Vietnamese |
- English (UK, India, US, Australia) — the default, with region-appropriate accents.
- Additional languages — the exact availability is shown in the dashboard when you configure the agent, and the catalog expands over time.
If you serve customers in more than one language, a common pattern is to run one agent per language and route callers accordingly.
Tips
- Match voice to audience. Preview a few options with a colleague before committing.
- Keep it consistent. Use the same voice across an agent’s calls so your brand sounds recognizable.
- Test on a real phone. Voices can sound slightly different over a phone line than on your computer speakers — do a quick test call.
