Billing & credits

HeyMello uses a simple prepaid credit model. You buy credits, and they’re used automatically as your agents make and take calls.

1 credit = 1 minute of call time.

Buying credits

  • Top up any time by choosing an amount and currency.
  • Pay securely via Stripe or Razorpay — the right payment method is selected automatically based on your billing country (e.g. Razorpay for India, Stripe for the UK and other countries).
  • A minimum top-up applies per currency.
  • Pre-set credit bundles are available per country to make topping up quick.

What credits are used for

  • Call time — outbound and inbound calls consume credits by the minute.
  • Phone numbers — numbers carry a monthly subscription.

Keeping track

In Billing, you can:

ViewWhat it shows
BalanceYour current credit balance and its value in your local currency.
PricingSupported currencies and the price per credit.
PlansCredit bundles available for your country.
TransactionsA full ledger of every credit added or used — top-ups, call charges, and adjustments.
Usage summaryCredits used, grouped by feature, over a date range.
InvoicesInvoices for your top-ups, with tax details, downloadable as PDF.

Low-balance protection

  • When your balance runs low, HeyMello emails your organization’s contact so you can top up.
  • If you run out of credits, calls are paused until you add more — so you’re never billed by surprise.

Billing settings

Set your organization’s billing country and VAT/GST number in billing settings. These determine your currency, payment gateway, and how tax appears on your invoices.

Tips

  • Keep a buffer. Top up before big campaigns so calls aren’t interrupted.
  • Watch usage. Use the usage summary to understand where credits go.
  • Set the right country early. It drives currency, payment method, and tax on every invoice.
